This policy covers inpurgatory.com, operated by Phoenix Feather Studios. It is short because we collect very little.
We do not collect your email address, your location, or payment information through this form. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics or session recording on the intake page. We do not use cookies on the intake page. A single cookie is used only on our own password-protected staff page.
To text you about your 5 Minutes of Purgatory reservation — that you are on the list, your entry time, the location, and any change to it — and to be able to demonstrate that you consented to receive those messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data are subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Only the people at Phoenix Feather Studios who run the experience, plus the service providers we need to operate at all: our website host, our database provider, and the messaging provider that delivers the text. They process this data on our instructions and for no other purpose. We do not sell, rent, trade, or co-register your information with anyone, for any price.
We keep your name and number for as long as you are on the list and no longer than 24 months after the experience you signed up for concludes, whichever is sooner. Consent and opt-out records are kept longer — up to five years — because we are legally required to be able to prove consent and to honour an opt-out permanently. If you ask us to delete you, we remove your name and number from the active list immediately and keep only the minimum record showing that you opted out, so we never text you again by accident.
Email help@inpurgatory.com from any address and tell us the number you gave. You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We will confirm when it is done. There is no charge and you do not need an account.

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. We do not track visitors across third-party websites, so there is nothing for us to change in response — we behave the same way whether or not the signal is present. We do not permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity on this site.
This site and the experience it supports are for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we require an age attestation before accepting a phone number. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 13, we delete it immediately. If you believe a child has given us their information, email help@inpurgatory.com.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest by our database provider. Access to the staff list is password protected. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page and describe what changed. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will say so here before it takes effect.
